Saraik District
Saraik (also Saraik is also known as Saighan, Saighān, Saraik, Sarayek, Sarāyek, Sayghan, Sayghān, Seyghan, Seyghān.) is a district in Bamyan Province, Afghanistan. It has a population of 23,215 ().〔("Bamyan PDP Provincial profile" National Area-Based Development Program (NABDP), Ministry of Rural Rehabilitation and Development, Islamic Republic of Afghanistan (2007) ), accessed 25 November 2008, citing as a source: "CSO/UNFPA Socio Economic and Demographic Profile" (2003)〕 It was created in 2005 from part of Kahmard District, and until 2004 was part of Baghlan Province.
